i wouldn't get XP, vista's the way to go for the future.

and your gonna need a way better video card for any editing.

I wouldn't get vista, unless you want to deal with problems. Xp is the way to go until microsoft sorts out all the bugs in vista.

i would just wait out the problems, no use spending another $150 for an OS u could have gotten a year ago.

so would u suggest getting slower ram to afford a better psu?

and, u dont need a better video card than that to run pinnacle, which is all he uses.

And as long as the psu doesnt just blow the whole system, it should be good, because like i said im not gonna overclock it. Because this is just a friend who knows nothing about computers that asked me to build one for him, and if it is the least bit inconsistent he'll be like "its broken" and everyone will gang up and kill me. End of story. And i dont think that psu will blow the system, and anyways hes not gonna be gaming at all.

Raidmax just make ok PSU's they are not very trusted by enthusiasts usually...except for a few models.

Also even if it's an Antec that comes with your case NEVER think that a case PSU is trusted...
