Question 6800XT or 7600GS

Hi All

I want to buy one of these 2 graphic cards. But I can't deside wich one. I use my pc only for gaming
My specs:

Intel Pentium IV 3.2 ghz HT
1024 gb ddr
powersupply 480 watt
Asus motherboard P4C800 deluxe

Hier a link with both cards compared: http://www.xfxforce.com/web/product/...ationId=550286

Or is there a better card in the same price range??

Thx

Around that price range you can get the 7600GT, which is better then the two you're looking at:

Oh I didn't see that....the 6800XT would be a better choice out of those two then.

no the 7600GS is better, 7600GS is better than 6800xt. It has more pipes and higher clock speed, and it uses newer technology

True...I guess I was thinking about the memory interface. But yes 7600GS does use newer technology, more pipes, and faster clock speeds.

the 6800 XT's have 8 pipelines, and the 7600 GS's have 12

however, some people have been able to unlock the 6800 XT's to have 16 pipelines. that's not guaranteed though.
