Default 6800gt vs 7900gt

ok so i was looking on the nvidia website and i saw that the reccommed gpu for flight simulator x was the 6800gt

then i thought the 7900gt was way better but then i looked on some website and saw that the 6800gt was like £160....

so which is better 7900gt or 6800gt

7900GT is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better!

6800GT is still a good card, don't get me wrong... I use the GS version right now... but you want the better card for the future...

i was reading on extreme tech that a 7900gtx only ran it on med high

Must be bull mate, the 7900GTX is a high end card and would run pretty much all games on high settings

Flight Simulator X is meant to be run mainly on Vista, and i have heard the same thing that top-of-the-range systems cannot run it on full.

Yeah its real demanding, just look at the commercial. Its pathetic.

On my system, I'm running it at 1600x1200, with everything except autogens turned to full and I'm getting a constant 20FPS.

And Tim, you'll also notice that the 7800GTX is more expensive on some sites than the 7900GT, even though the 7900GT performs a bit better.

With FSX, I feel that more RAM (at least 2GB) will make a bigger difference than the GFX card.
