I will have that much to build a whole new system maybe and I was thinking of an AM2 system but I would need everything for the actuall computer including case and psu no monitor though. I was thinking like a 3800+ Windsor matched with a some ocz ram but what do you guys think I can build around my price range... video card is not needed but it would be nice to have one in there.

why not just upgrade your current rig to like rock!!?

That's what I kinda wonder too. I am on skt939, and if I were to upgrade (on a budget) I'd be looking at keeping my motherboard and going with an X2 for skt 939.

Is your current PC prebuilt or did you build it? If you built it then just sell off the parts you are going to replace. If it was manufactured then your plan is probably best.

cause I would sell my current pc to get the money.

im a little confused.. how are you going to sell your current computer and recieve enough for it to purchase a computer better than it? unless your would be adding some money to it.

^true there is no way you could sell your current rig for the price it would be to build a new one

exactly. just throw the parts you want to replace on ebay and youll get some of your money back.
