6-core system cost?

I built a amd 6 core when it first came out and I spent just a little under 1k, its def possible. THe amd 6 core black edition is now only 250 so should be even cheaper than what I spent at the time.

Ok thanks for all the info guys. It may be a couple months before I want a build so I will probably decide for sure then.
