Those are pretty close. Im not sure which i would go with. The 7900gs wins the price battle though, so i would maybe lean toward it. Someone with more experience with one of these cards should reply.

If your willing to spend the money on the x1950 pro, then look at the 7950gt, it's around the same price, and it's winning in the benchmarks that im seeing.

the 256MB RADEON X1950 PRO is cheaper than the 7900gs by afew pounds from place im buying reason i aint getting a 7950 is cuz its about £50 more and i just want a fairly good card that will run BF2 and BF2142 well untill dx10 comes out and i can get a 8800 cheaper

huh, thats wierd, the 7900gs's im seeing are about 180 usd, compared to about 200-240 for the x1950 pro

i had an x1950pro, it played bf2 just fine, played just about every game just fine.. lol. As long as your not playing on anything higher than 1280x1024

nVidia > ATI

My opinion.

The nVidia 7950 GT does out perform the X1950 PRO.
