Default 5000+ blk ed. Vs. FX-62

its only a $40 difference so i was wondering if it was worth it until x4 come out and drop price? would that extra cache be worth it?

I'd wait if I could.

I don't think the cache really helps on amd architectures but the x4s will be faster per ghz.

between those two get the 5000+ because it uses the 65nm Manufacturing Process while the FX-62 still uses 90nm...

yeah i wasn't sure.. but im building this rig this week.... i need this computer.... , i cant wait for the new future products , i need it now, i think im going to get the 5000 because of the unlocked multi's.. im not sure i but thought the fx' series had unlocked mutipliers too?

they do.. the FX's are like AMD's version of Extreme Editions... usually tho.. u can get your hands on em really cheaply tho.. unlike any Intel EE

yeah so whats some advantages to 65 mm over 90mm? less power is one? anything else?

ok... so 5000+ is a better buy then the fx-62... i think i might buy both and do some testing :-P.........

where did you fidn a fx62 for teh same price as a 5000+ ncix has the rfx 62 at liek 700$ NCIX.com - Canada's Premier Computer Store - Great Technology, Service and Selection. the 5000+ black edition is only like 140$
