Default 500 dollar build frys

my friend wants me to help him build a computer(tower, cpu, motherboard, ram, power supply, video card, harddrive, and cd rom drive) and he refuse to buy it online because he wants it the same day...anyways he does alot of downloadin, burn cds, and play cs. any ideas would really help thank you...remeber 500 dollars and it has to be from frys or anything from best buy to circuit city local stores only no online

preaty much any cmputer now adays will play counter strike 1.6 just tell him to go into best biuy and pick up the best he can get for 500$ really because when ur budget is that low u end up getting lower end by building yourself.

I dont think any of us are familiar enough with fry's inventory or pricing to give you a decent suggestion on a build.

Anywhoo, Bestbuy overprices most of their systems anyways so you wont find a good comp for $500. You can prolly build a medium-low end build with $500. Persuade him to buy it online. :P
