Are the 4870 and 260 GTX currently overpriced?

I am already thinking in my next build, and have enough money to buy it. I was curious, if waiting 1 month would lower the prices a bit.

Anyone know if there is an expected price drop on any of this 2 video cards?

i wouldnt expect too much of a drop at all.. probably 10-20 dollars maximum.. they've both already had price cuts... nvidia's cuts being extremely massive... the gtx260 started at 450 dollars... and is now 300.... 150 drop in like 2 months.. i wouldnnt expect much more

You can actually get the GTX 260 from MSI for just $230 after MIRB. That's something to jump on NOW, IMO.

cards are really overpriced on release, for them to make money off ppl that want the best of the best straight away. its always best to wait till at least the first drop in price.

yeah, thats what I head on the newegg reviews, but what will be 55nm? and what is it right now?

and what about the 4870?

GTX 260 is currently 65nm, and should drop to 55nm, and with that you'd naturally expect a price drop.

4870 is 55nm.
