You do know that the gtx 295 is essentially sli 280s on a dual pcb but single slot and at lower clock speeds to save on heat.

That's because its GTX 260's Core 240's ( I know what I said) in SLI.. and of course a biased game will show a performance increase on a type of card its biased for!

Oh yeah I never noticed they had the same clocks as the gtx260's so you can call them downclocked gtx280's or gtx260s with 240 core

Ya, so its quite possible to go from 575MHz to 602MHz and from 2000MHz to 2214Mhz easily.. so you essentially get GTX 280 performance

Even overclocked SLI 280s gets better performance.

Obviously, because CFX or SLI on a stick is not as efficient as two cards in CFX or SLI mode..

Course they do sli/crossfire cards always beat there single slot alternative. 2x4870's beat the 4870x2 they lower the clock speeds so tht there is less heat as there is only one cooler to cool the gpu's instead of 2.

Exactly... the HD 4870X2 was the closest at its time to match their CFX's performance.. now the GTX 295 does that...

Btw.. what two Cores do the GTX 285 have?

I was saying overclocked to match 280 speeds the 295 still gets beat out by SLI 280s. But, the 295 dosent have any microstuttering either.
