3 optical drives & 2 HD setting

Hi,
I just got my DVD burners and my New SATA HD
but i don't know how should I set IDE ...


I got 2 DVD burners , 1 DVD rom , 1 SATA HD and 1 IDE HD

Should I set the IDE HD to Primary master , then one of the BURNER as Primary Slave..

Then the others optical drive to secondary....

Any other suggestion ? for the best performance...


Another question: I should conside the SATA HD in master or slave also ? Coz i never install a SATA HD before...

if you are going to boot off the IDE hdd then i suggest making it the primary master and slaving the DVD-ROM to it then having the two burners on the secondary. if you want to boot from the SATA then it doesn't matter much.

It doesn't really matter that much where you put them. Just make sure each IDE cable has 1 master & one slave, 2 devices configured to "cable select", or just a single master.

Doesn't matter if the master is a hard disk or cd-rom either.
