Is 2x 6600GT (SLi) 256mb better than 7800GTX?

Gonna buy a new PC and it gives the option of many graphics cards. the 7800GTX seems to be in my price range but I was wondering if 2 6600GTs 256mb are better than this as they are much cheaper.

Two 6800 GT's, on the other hand, are better than a single 7800 GTX.

well it depends, if your running the high end 8x AA and 16x AF or the other way aronud 6800GT will win, if you are running just like 1024*768 on high then a GTX will win

I doubt even 2x 6800GTs..

For the price.. go with the 7800GT.
Its only 345 for the eVGA one at newegg.
