Default 2gb of crucial vs 4gb ocz gold.

ok so heres the deal, i can get 2gb kit of ddr 800 4 4 4 12 crucial balistix for 159.99 or i can get. 2 x2gb kits of ocz gold ddr 800 5 5 5 12 for 144.22, which should i get if not over clocking. im pushing towards the 4gb cause il defenitally be going with vista, il just use my old rig for xp gaming. as it everything i toss at it fine.

well even with vista are you going to have lots of programs running? 4gb is only required if you're video editing or high quality photo editing or very intense gaming. 2gb should be enough even with vista.

if i wasnt overclocking i wouldnt get either one if they cost that much.
i'd look for the cheapest name brand and get them.
xms2c4 is 64 bucks after rebate, and gskill has some cas4 NQ for like 75 bucks after rebate.
patriot has some extreme cas5 for 53 bucks after rebate. these prices are friggin ridiculoso.
last year i paid 280 dollars for 2gb of cas4 xms2.
by the way, where do you live? the prices you have listed are way higher than neweggs.

i noticed that too, but 2 x 10k in RAID 0 is pretty fast, i wouldn't pay for it though
