Is there a reason why in the start they didnt make 22" screens vertical res higher by 20 or so pixels just so they could say it supports 1080......

1080 resolution is 1920×1080. 22 inch monitors have a resolution of 1680x1050. I guess they could raise it by 20 pixels to say that it supports 1080 but then the ratio would not be right....

If i get a 22" cant i say... set my 360 to a resolution with vertical 1080 and my screen will just scale it slightly? Because its a long step down from 1080 to 780....

EDIT: I just saw a Sceptre 22" that supports 1080p, why dont they all. Like the ones that support upto 1050 vertical....

The 360 isn't capable of a resolution that high. Just because it says it "supports" 1080P, doesn't mean it will actually display it.
