Yeah, the 920 is more than enough, you don't need the 940. It's kind of a waste, I mean, the only one you should get besides the 920 would be the 965 if you had the money to throw away.

My current future build is a little under 1300 USD (tower only). I think its a pretty good price for a budget build (I could go higher, but I'd rather save money =])

With a 2000 budget, that should be more than enough. Definitely build.

I wish I had a 2k budget to spend on a build...if you want us to put you something together, we'll make sure you get your money's worth. A lot better than that computer.

I would start pulling parts, but I have to hit the sack to get up in a few hours for work. :[ But I'm sure someone will recommend some good stuff, and if they haven't by the time I get to work, I'll see what I can post.

Well actually the prebuilt is pretty decent. If you built it yourself you could go with something like.

Newegg.com - Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops $290

Newegg.com - BIOSTAR TpowerX58 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards $270

Newegg.com - G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory $140
or maybe
Newegg.com - G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory $160

Newegg.com - EVGA 017-P3-1291-AR GeForce GTX 295 1792MB 896 (448 x 2)-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards $505

Newegg.com - SAMSUNG Spinpoint F1 HD103UJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives $95

Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies $140-$20mir

So thats $1440-$20mir. So you got around $600 to add OS, case, water cooling, mouse, keyboard, and blue ray player.

Excellent build Dario. That covers pretty much all the bases.

Is their a big difference visually and performance-wise in the 295 vs the 260? If so what?
