is it worth getting another PS2 keyboard or have the new systems fixed the issues with USB keyboard?

since theres plenty of usb ports on desktop I don't think taking up the usb port is an issue anymore.

but what about others like usb bandwidth and delay and nd others?

what about mouse?

Not sure what you mean by "issues with USB keyboard" ?

I haven't used a PS/2 mouse or keyboard in...like 8+ years. All of my USB peripherals work fine. I can even get into my UEFI BIOS fine with a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse.

Newer systems don't even have PS/2 ports - or if they do, it's only 1 port.

The only thing USB can't do is proper N-key rollover. USB has had much better functionality since the early 2000s, especially with 1000mhz polling.

ok so it has no effect on keyboard response?
last time I used usb keyboard with windows xp sp3 had a lag

what about times when your get a virus or a Trojan.

is a usb keyboard easier to disable than ps2 or no difference?

Nope.

Probably a badly written USB driver, which won't be a problem on anything from the last 10 years at least.

Just as easy, but you can't disable individual USB ports. You have to disable the whole USB controller, which will affect more ports than if you were to disable the PS/2 port.

Not sure what viruses have to do with USB keyboards?

Only thing that would be possible is:
a) if the USB device has memory storage large enough for malware to fit...nowadays that's harder to do since the profile storage on the device is small (like in the 100's of KB's)
b) BadUSB, but that is mainly geared towards flash drives.
