Then a Crossfire setup won't be necessary. Go for a 4870 or the 4870 1Gb version.

They are the same price. So I should still get the 4870? Even if I dont need the crossfire right now it will probably be good for the future if I ever get a bigger screen

Yea the 4870 would be the best buy. For the price it comes real close in performance against a GTX 280 and beats a 3870 X2.
