Yes, they look very good. I have a Samsung 913N and I run my games at 1024x768. They look perfectly clear. Very playable. I was worried myself about that, but yeah it's not a problem.

Unlike CRT, LCDs have one "recommended" resolution; The highest. Thats when they perform at their best. However, even though they perform better at the highest, they don't look bad at all on other resolutions. Make sure to check for dead pixels. I got this cheap $230 17" LCD and it has NO dead pixels, I adore it.
