$1500 Gaming Computer...Help build it!
 
This will be my 1st build. Mainly used for gaming. I have monitor, need everything else! Lets do this..... thanks!

Well, the question is whether or not you want your rig to have the capability. That will determine what kind of hardware gets recommended.

From my understanding, overclocking isnt really necessary for gaming and may not be worth the additional cost.

It's not necessary for modern CPUs except in a very narrow range of uses, but a lot of people just like pushing their rigs as far as they can.
