Question 1500-2000 budget gaming build

Hi ,my budget is 1500 to 2000 preferably under 2000 would be good. my goals are for a great gaming experience, no more freezing or lagging like my old desktop even though i still love that desktop and I also want to use it for downloading music and videos. games i will be playing are bf3, wow, sc2, skyrim, and strategy games. the list below is what i got so far if there is anything i can remove or add to increase performance or save money while still keeping performance please inform me on what your opinion would be, i would get i5 but somethings telling me to get i7 cause it is future proof i think please correct me if im wrong. to all those that help thank you, i will make sure i post a picture of the build in like 4 weeks cause thta is when i will have all the money thanks again.

Default Re: 1500-2000 budget gaming build

I wouldnt go with that water cooling kit... water cooling kits just... just, dont work... they will give you more of a headache than anything else... id go with an air cooling solution first and if find your self needing a better high, upgrade to Water cooling. ive done water cooling before as you can see in my sig rig, i dont regret doing it, but i am currently building a new rig and i dont plan on water cooling this time around. a personal decision and if you want to know more about my decisison to go back to Air lemme know and ill go more into it. other wise, here is a build that is going to do everything you want, that is under budget.

If you're going to wait 4 weeks then you might as well wait 6 for when Nvidia's new series of cards drops (GTX 6xx)

That being said:
The i7 is no more future proof than the i5, they are the same generation. And the i5 is more than enough for gaming.
Cases are personal preference, but at $200 I think that one is a rip-off. Check out some of these.
3TB of hard drive space is enormous, I'd consider a smaller (1 or 2TB) drive for storage and an SSD for programs.
While I like Corsair PSUs, I personally think they're over priced. Can get the same quality for less from one of these.
Gaming you'll never utilize 16GB of RAM, I'd hit up this 8GB Mushkin kit here.
How much overclocking do you plan on doing? That water kit seems kind of meh, it has the maintenance of a custom loop but no expandability like a closed loop system (H80/H100), seems like the worst of both worlds.

I personally like the mobo from the OP build better, ....but that is just me.

Looks like you have done your home work rosin789.....your build looks pretty solid, other than I would not water cool...but that is your choice.
