Keyboard or mouse? Let us know, and I'll try to get some parts together.

Also, you won't get top-of-the line for $1400. You will get higher-end, but not top-of-the-line.

Case- ASPIRE X-Cruiser- $84
CPU- Intel Core 2 Duo E6600- $313
Motherboard- ASUS P5B-E- $161
Ram- Corsair 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2-800- $250 (including rebate)
Hard Drive- Seagate 320GB SATA300- $100
PSU- HIPER 580W- $95
Sound Card- X-Fi XtremeMusic- $100
Video Card- eVGA 7900GS- $172 (including rebate)
OS- Windows XP Pro Upgrade- $86

Total- $1361 (including rebates) and shipping to 61114
Get a 7900GS until DX10 comes out. You'll still be able to play all games, but you'll want to save up before buying a DX10 card.
You can save more money if you don't need the high end sound card.
