120$ Help Choose..

hi guys, was buying a new video card 8/4x AGP, got around 130$ to spend, now im wondering whats the best gaming video card i could get for that price range, could anyone link me for a nice one or tell me wich 1 is better out of these 3 and if they are worth buying..

well.. i would say go for the evga it has a fan and if you plan on ocing that will help a lil.... but they are pretty much both the same.......

yeah i agree theyoyokid. unless you have really good air cooling to cool off the heatsink with the gigabyte 7600GS you shouldn't even consider it. that's just my opinion though.

and BTW, we can't really tell you much about which one is better other than that because newegg doesn't have the clock speeds posted for the Gigabyte...though i haven't heard of too many people with gigabyte graphics cards to begin with. I'd go eVga if you can afford it. Otherwise a x1300Pro from ATI might be worth looking at.

i have the pci express model, and it's a pretty good card. The memory and core clocks were like 100 and 500 on mine. it's 256mb 256but gddr3 with 12 pixel pipelines. And for 130 it's a pretty good deal.

I'd probably go for the Gigabyte. When they make vid cards and motherboards without tiny fans, that generally means that they will last longer without attention. Mechanical parts tend to die faster than electronics. Therefore the Gigabyte has a better chance of surviviing for longer.

Also, as long as you have at least mediocre airflow in your case, it should have no problem keeping cool.

In the grand scheme of things I dont think this is something that needs to be weighted heavily in the consideration of this card. A mechanical component such as an electric fan should offer a very suitable life time.

If you wait a while I heard that the x1950 pro is comming out on agp. If you save up, you might be able t get your hands on one.

another question, whats better a 6600gt 128mb or a 7600gs 128mb, same with 6600gt 256mb and 7600gs 256mb (or 7800gs
