1100 dollar build help!

Hey guys, i have been on here a few times trying to find a build, i now have more money and am looking to purchase with in the next week or two. I need some major help though, i have been on new egg and been reading reviews on products but still cant find something that works.

If any of you can throw some builds out in that budget would be much appreciated. Its canadian funds.

Also the computer what i mainly want it for is gaming, far cry 3, battle field, Total war series etc.

this will be a good gaming build but could be reworked to include an SSD

also, the case is a personal choice, but im pretty sure the one linked to is a good one.

He wants to play Farcry 3 and I'm going to guess Crysis 3 as well. He will want the 670 over a slightly faster CPU. Crysis 3 alpha has been tearing up systems.

Is the performance boost better to go from the 660ti to the 670 and drop the i5 for a i3? will that mobo have any problems with ivys bridge performance wise?

im quite certain the newer total war (empire and after) utilizes quad cores. so an i5 over i3 is probably worth it.

The only difference is the ability to overclock. If you get any CPU that doesn't have a K it renders a Z77 board pretty useless. In this case, the difference between say the i5 3330 or 3570k is pretty small when talking about games.

ya i think the dollar is pretty close now! i was actually in maine in the summer (ur location) nice place!! anyways whats the big difference the SSD will make outside of booting windows faster? If its 100 dollars we are talking about im sure i could swing it to get the 670 and the ssd if its really gonna make a huge difference! i just want to be careful with the money, i hate buying something and learning i used the money unwisely

I recommend an SSD for ALL rigs if budget permits. The HDD is and was always the slowest piece of a computer and an SSD has a substantial effect on speeding up a PC. It not just makes the PC boot faster, but the overall feel is so much faster. Anybody who says otherwise I tell them to use an SSD for a month then try using a HDD. If they can't tell the difference they are delirious. As for your choice, I suggest if budget permits (or they have any in stock) to get the Samsung 830 instead.

if you can swing another $100 for the ssd it will make a noticeable difference for level loading in games beyond a fast windows start. they are worth the money. I didnt initially put one in just to have a 'gaming' tower without sacrificing too much.

and yes, maine is quite nice. although watch out, a lot of places still charge 2 for 1 with canadian dollars as a policy, and you guys beat us on parity. D:
