I guess if you're on a budget it can make an OK card, but the real sound cards start at the audigy2 zs.

Uhh, I dont really care about sound that much, so.... ya'll are confusing me. Do you think I could get a Athlon 64 3700+?

only get a 3700+ if your not overclocking and its cheaper it just get a 146 or 144 and just overclock cuse if you dont get your CPU from newegg( you cant get the 144 or 146 from newegg)

but if you get the 148 which is dumb cause for about 50$ less you can get a 144 or 146 and oc it
