So after about a month after my initial plan to build my own computer. I think i finally have what it a damn good computer setup for under 1k
My specs:
560 GTX Ti - 180
3.3 Ivy Bridge CPU - 70
Asrock H77 MVP Mobo- 70
Corsair 600CX PSU - 40
16 GB Corsair Vengeance Ram 70
1TB Seagate HDD 7200 rpm - 70
90GB Corsair GT SSD (I LOVE THE **** OUT OF THING) - 100
H60 Corsair Liquid Cooling - 45
25"/19" Hp Monitor - 200/had the 19 from my last build so not counting it
Windows 7 64 bit - 90
r200 Corsair Case - 25
I i figure since this is my first build i'd like to talk about how it went
first off it is so easy! If you want to build your own computer dont hesitate because your think you will be incapable. just make sure to double check your setup with someone who may be a little more familiar with computer to make sure everything is compatible, which is typically your CPU socket and MOBO.
2nd ill tell you what I wish i knew a month ago, GET WATER COOLING! No lie this is by far the best thing you can do for your computer in terms of being able to run for long periods of time and also retaining your CPU.
With my stock heatsink fan from intel my CPU was reaching 90-100C and that isnt even with fraps so probly like 110-120!! with my H60 from Corsair i dont see my CPU so above 45C usually 35-40.
Also SSD's are worth the extra money, it is not just your start up time but also every single program run on windows plus any you DL into your SSD drive, and it is so simple to have your SSD in bootup and HDD for storage, i love it!
Wish i would of gone with the 660 GTX because it was only 210 or so but other than that there isnt really anything i can complain about.\
All in all building your own computer is so worth it in term of the amount of work you put in to what you get in return.
