1.5gb vs 2gb ram

Well right now the egg is out of stock but if it comes back into stock I'm gonna buy it. I wanted to get it along with a s939 X2 3800 which was about $58, they both had free shipping. I figured this would be a decent upgrade and would extend my computer's life for about a year for only $68.

Check how much ram you are using.

Open the task manager and watch it. How easily do you max out your ram? If you max it out easily, upgrade. If not, don't.

If all you do is basic things on xp...you will not notice a difference at all between even 1gb of ram and 8gbs as you can boot xp with IE, Word, ect and still stay below 512, even.

But, if you do something ram intensive, then it doesn't load it all into ram, and so it runs slowly.

since when did task manager display ram usage? i cant see it anyways
