Opterons are the same as the X2s? There's gotta be some difference between the two processors. What are the benefits of each and in the event the X2 4400+ is better than the Opteron, is it worth the extra $150? Thanks alot guys for the info. It's greatly appreciated.
If/when I overclock with the Opteron, what type of cooling issues will I be dealing with? What type of cooling system would I need, etc? I can always salvage fans from my old, dead computer if need be.

NO difference except that the Opterons are tested better before being shipped so they're more reliable.

Opterons are renowned for their excellent overclocking, so thats why they're so popular these days.

I have to go, could someone please link him to the Zalman CPU cooler? Temps shouldn't be too much of a problem when overclocking. PM me if you want some overclocking guides.
