good zalman fan for an amd athlon 64 3500+ socket 939.
i want it silent and a good one. (link from newegg please)

I want a zalman fan for a gpu to.

its an xfx geforce 6800 xtreme.

so if you have both they must be pretty dang good.

They better be cause there a little on the expensive side for a fan.

does that cpu fan work with dual core to?

I am thinking about upgrading to dual core in the near future.

Yes, if the socket is 939, or one of the other socket types that are compatible with the unit.

If you plan on OC'ing, maybe the CNPS9500 (more $$ )

Look at my sig... that will tell you. temps run idle around 38-41C (depending on ambient temps) and I have my chip OC'd with no worries about the fan... the 7700 is more than enought to handle it. but I will tell you this... it's big... I mean really BIG. it's about 6-7 inches in diameter to give you an idea.

and the VF-700 drops the temps like 5C right off the bat.
