will a new monitor affect the fps? and if so how much... (frames per second not first person shooter)

yeah my monitor is 15 inch and it has 16ms. to be honest, i can't notice "ghosting" or anything out of the ordinary. although i haven't had a CRT monitor

Thanks alot people, now I just gotta get my rents to get it for x-mas lol.. idk, i might just buy it myself.. im defintly getting a case myself.
