I have settled on buying those components:

Need Serious opinions...this is my first OC machine..to be more serious..;)

You shouldn't get a board that only supports DDR3, that kind of ram is pretty much pointless to buy right now. It isn't fully utilized yet and there isn't much of a difference in performance compared to DDR2 ram. Instead you should get the Biostar I45, as its probably the best board for overclocking and holds highest fsb record. Or if you want to stick with Gigabyte then the GA-EP45 DS3R would be a good choice too. It's like the same board you picked but it supports DDR2 ram instead.

For ram try to get a set with low timings. Choose either DDR2 800 or 1066. A good set for overclocking would be the OCZ Reapers HPC edition.

And you can get a better card for the price of a 3870. Look into getting a 9800GT which is slightly better. Or if you want to stick with ATI look into either 4850/4830.
