Not bad for all of $999 Australian which is 902.488 Canadian and 762.557 USD it is all custom built ain't no dodgy prefabricated computer....

Dodgy points to be corrected, - Video Card, I was told it was an ATI build and it isn't a great performer of a card but it will tide me over until my funds can get a 7800GT (PCI-E baby!)

And the RAM and Motherboard isn't too great as well. Maybe a DFI and a gig of ram in future but i'am flat broke now.....

can you still return it? you made a big mistakes (gfx card)

1.) the X700pro was a disaster/failure by ATi, return this IMMEDIAtely for the 6600GT...X700pro only performs good in HL2/CSS, it's horrid in everything else
2.) the ECS mobo is fine if you're not OCing
3.) definitely 1 gig of ram...preferably 1.5-2 if you want to play BF2/FEAR smoothly
4.) you coulda easily downgraded the 3500+ to 3000+ and done the above...there's nearly no difference between the two

The guy who built it for me was offering this to me, the other option was to build the exact same system expect for a 64 +3000 for $899AUS.

Weigh it up, 999=64 +3500 or 899=64+3000
The video card came standard with the build's. It ain't gonna stay long though trust me, i know for a fact that is a peice of crap in everyway but it'll do for a while.

I ain't overclocking yet either, because of the mobo- Waiting until i can get DFI 4 board. But RAM is the next important purchase for me, I am sick of BF2 demands.

Also the video card came cheap because he knows somebody who was dumping the parts from stock... that is why i got it the processor for cheap and the video card cost me only 120AUS... If you know Aussie Part Prices you will know what i mean as the DFI LAN PARTY board goes for about 250-300 retail here.. and a Geforce 6600GT goes for roughly 300 and a 3500 costs about 400

That would make the video card ~$90 USD, the DFI Lanparty ~$188-$225USD, the 6600GT ~$225, and the 3500+ ~$300.

All very overpriced over there

u need more memory. and shouldnt have gone with the x700, newegg has 6600gt pci-e for really cheap processor is great tho, seems like the L2 cache should be bigger on that processor tho needs to be 1mb
