If you have a 7800GTX already, then just upgrade to PCI-E. You will be happier with that than any AGP cards. AGP cards now are just for those who want something better but refuse to upgrade their entire systems.

but i dont know how to install cpu and mobo and im afraid ill mess something up. i read about the static issues so thats a little scary.

Its not that hard, and if you are that afraid, take it to a local PC shop or have a friend do it. Its really easy to do yourself. Wear an anti-static wrist strap and you'll have nothing to worry about.

You have a 7800GTX?! DEFINATELY UPGRADE TO PCI-E!
If I would have known that earlier, I would have said don't get agp no matter what.
And when it comes to assembling cpu and motherboards, monarchcomputer.com is your friend.

Just put in what you want in it (I recommend just the amd 3200 and the msi k8n neof-4) and they install it for you for free.
This is what I did

ok ok sounds like a plan. and what is up with everyone using amd? is intel not good anymore?
