Hello, I am building my first PC, for general basic gaming, and some video editing & rendering. Basically a cheap entry level Media Centre PC!

What I need to know is would the components I have selected all fit together succesfully, i.e, please make sure im not using to many PCI ports extra. Its my first build so I am a newbie so please excuse my silliness! and Thank you.

Here are my selected components :

Case : Buy Avenge Power Black Hummer ATX Case*CAS-865 from CCL - Awarded PCPro Best Online Retailer 3 years running for laptops, desktops and computer hardware

Motherboard : Asus M4A87TD/USB3 870 Socket AM3 8 Channel Audio ATX.. | Ebuyer.com

RAM : EXTRA VALUE 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz Memory Kit 1.5V CL9 | Ebuyer.com

Processor : AMD Athlon II X3 455 3.3GHz Socket AM3 Retail Box.. | Ebuyer.com
or AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz Socket AM3.. | Ebuyer.com

PSU : Arctic Power 600W PSU - With PCI-E, 3x SATA, 20+4.. | Ebuyer.com

GPU : ATi Radeon HD 5450 1GB

HDD : Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 1TB Hard Drive SATAII.. | Ebuyer.com

Optical Drive : LiteOn IHAS124-19 24x DVD±RW DL & RAM SATA.. | Ebuyer.com

Optional Extras :
USB 3.0: Plexus USB 3.0 2 Port PCI-Express Card - 10x faster.. | Ebuyer.com
Blue Ray Reader: LiteOn iHOS104 4x BD-ROM SATA Blu-Ray Drive - OEM Black | Ebuyer.com

What I am worried about is having enough SATA connections, PCI Ports etc.

It would really help me out if anyone can spot errors, and let me know what I'd need to do to make this system or a system as close to as possible work.
I am on a tight budget i.e under £400

Thank you very much and I really appreciate any help :)

even if it's a budget build, i'd be inclined to spend under a pound more for some brand name ram over 'generic extra value', even if it's still low end stuff.
Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz Memory Kit Unbuffered.. | Ebuyer.com

there's a pretty big gap in price between the two cpu's you have listed there. obviously the x4 965 would be the better cpu if you can afford it. if you still don't wanna spend that much you could with an athlon ii quad instead.
AMD Athlon II X4 635 2.9GHz 2MB Cache Socket AM3.. | Ebuyer.com

get a psu from a better brand, like this one
OCZ Stealth Xstream II 500W PSU - 3x SATA 1x PCI-E | Ebuyer.com

and yea, if you get that mobo you should have enough slots for the gfx card and the usb card, and it is listed as coming with 3 sata cables and you have 3 sata devices listed so you'd have just enough.
