Would This Cut It?

my dad bought me a laptop last which has not arrived yet. its a COMPAQ P4 1.8GHZ, 512MB, 30GHD, DVD/CRW,XP,WIRELESS ATI RADEON MOBILITY 7500 32MB.
i wanted to know if this laptop would do fine in music downloading, dvd watching, surfing the internet, word processing?THERE WOULDNT BE ANY GAMING EXCEPT FOR COUNTER STRIKE 1.6.

counter strike 1.6 may not run that smooth cause the processor is a little on the slow side and the graphics card only has 32mb!!!

if theres a way to use some of the RAM from the somputer, which there usually is on laptops, then you'll be fine. and i run source smoothly on a 1.7ghz P4, so he'll be fine.
