Default Would this computer be acceptable for may upgrades

Computers: Desktop Computers: Acer AX1800 Series Desktop Computer featuring Intel Pentium Processor E5300 (AX1800-E9112) | Best Buy Canada Web Store

I plan on purchasing the computer in the link above in order to modify it for my professional needs. Do you think it is good for many upgrades. I plan on buying a top of the line graphics card, sound card and a video tuner. I want it to be my primary PC for both digital photography and studio recording.

Well plan on spending money on a psu as well.
Also I think its a slim line type, so the new psu might not be possible.

what is a psu?

power supply, so are they more expensive because they require a special type for slim lines? And if it's a regular tower, it's just a regular power supply right?

no. slim lines are too narrow for regular psu's right? so you need the specific model for the slim line.

well if you got a slim case the only available PSU is probably the same as stock and it'd come from the maufacturer

Thyere are aftermarket psus, but they peek at like 400W, which isnt enough for a good card.

Plus slimlines, aka skinny computers arent very well cooled, so the added heat burns them up.

If youre serious in a computer upgrade, where bouts do you live, and do you need a store, or can it be a reputible web store.

I live in Toronto, what about this computer

Newegg.ca - CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra 7209 Athlon II X2 240(2.8GHz) 4GB DDR2 500GB ATI Radeon HD 4550 Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit (With Windows 7 Upgrade Coupon) - Desktop PCs

would it be good for extreme upgrades like xxxcore graphic cards, sound cards, good for gaming and sound recording and is the price fair?

Check your other thread... Ncix is the best in canada, Tigerdirect is in T.O. same as canadacomputers.
But ncix is way better.. I'm in Ottawa, and ncixs gets me things, whole system actusally, in 7 days.

NCIX.com - Canada's Premier Computer Store - Great Technology, Service and Selection.
