For the optical drives, I personally prefer LiteOn & Plextor... and Seagate for HDD's... From past experiences with WD drives, I will NEVER purchase another one...

Good work on the TV card though, as the hardware MPEG encoder will free up the CPU when recording. I know that with the Hauppage units, the CPU utilization will be at 2 - 5% when recording...

Thanks. I had a great experience with a WD drive so I will purchase another. As for the LG drive, I'll look into it - although I heard they're very good.
