For some reason I just put a PCI Geforce Mx4000 video card in my computer and in the bios i chose Primary Video Adapter. PCI Slot 3 ( the slot the video cards in ). I restart with the moniter cable in the PCI video card and everything goes until after Windows XP loads. Then it goes black. If i switch it to the onboard video then it works. And its weird because the onboard video doesnt work when it starts up. whats wrong here? i installed the driver for the geforce...

Did you disable the onboard video? Try the card in a different slot as well if you can.

depending on the mobo, some times you HAVE to have the PCI video card in ther first slot. Disable your onboard and move you cards around. You should be good after that.

You might have to go into windows with onboard video and disable the onboard and disable in bios. Then start pc up with offboard video card.
