Default Windows Xp?

Since I am building a new computer I am wondering if stores will start to sell vista instead of Xp because they want to stay up to date or something. The reason behind this post is am I still going to be able to pick up a copy of xp in a few months? Because my new build im wanting to go xp from all the problems I have heard with vista so I say meh why bother? So will I still be able to find a copy.

shouldn't be a problem. my guess is XP should be available for at least the next year. that is only my opinion though. look around MS's site and they probably have info on when they plan to discontinue Windows XP.

MS is going to release a service pack for XP sometime in 2008, so they shouldn't be gutting it off the shelves quite yet.

Also, if you have a crappy computer, and don't want to pay all that money for a new one...than what are you supposed to do?

Thanks for the 2008 update news that gives me a chance to look forward to a copy.

Microsoft might leak a new copy of XP with SP3 integrated into it.

From what I've heard, SP3 is just a more enhanced security centre and some bug-fixes.
