Hey i have a compaq PC
Compaq Presario Desktop PC (SR1630NX)
AMD Athlon™ 64 3500+ processor (2.2GHz), 512MB of DDR SDRAM memory and speedy 200GB 7200RPM hard drive.
Total expansion slots 3 PCI, 1 PCI-Express
Available expansion slots 2 PCI, 1 PCI-Express
Video memory Up to 128MB (shared)
RAM 512MB DDR SDRAM
RAM expandable to: 4GB
USB 6 USB 2.0 (2 front/4 rear)
FireWire 2 (1 front/1 rear)
Parallel port 1


I want to know if The following will work in my pc

EVGA 6600gt 128mb PCI-E (will this fit in my PC and work?)

(will it run the video card? and will it workin the pc?)

also

Yes, the card will fit.

Yes, the PSU will run the card and fit.

The RAM link is bad, but you comp uses 400/300 MHz DDR. As long as it isn't DDR2 and has 184 pins, it will work.

Your CPU is actually a socket 939. I'm surprised.
 
make sure if it currently has onboard video that you first enable the card and disable the onboard if video if onboard video is present
