Default Will This Work??

I decided to built a computer for myself and a friend gave me a list so i went and picked out what was close to the list and seemed to match and this is what i came up with. The computer is going to be used mostly for gaming but i'm not hvy into it and my limit was 600+/-.

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Newcastle 800MHz FSB 512KB L2 Cache Socket 754 Processor $193.00 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103483

CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory $79.06
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145440

LITE-ON Beige 16X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 4X DVD+R DL 16X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 24X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2M Cache IDE DVD Burner – OEM 36.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106990

Hard Drive…………………….

SAPPHIRE 100122 Radeon X700 256MB 128-bit DDR PCI Express x16 Video Card $102.00
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102536

Case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811147011

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Value SB0400 8 (7.1) Channels PCI Interface Sound Card $40.00
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829102175

PLANET ENW-9605 10/100/1000Mbps PCI Network Adapter 1x RJ-45 12.00
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833322305

So does everything look alright?? I'm not sure if i'm going to be running lunix or window or not at this point either.
I also didnt know what harddrive to get but i would like to keep it around 250GB? and 100 bucks but cheaper the better..

The network card is wasted money, along with a sound card for this tight budget. You should save money on the harddrive and get 80gb or so.

All the links are dead btw.

With the money you save, get a 6600gt instead. ATI haven't performed as well as they should with the X series.

You don't have a motherboard.

If the case comes with a PSU, it will be rubbish, so you should spend money on getting a good one.

You might save money by ordering your RAM from ZipZoomFly.com - you get free shipping...

lol well i guess i should go with the s939 then.

Honestly a friend on another board gave me this list.
AMd 64 3200+ + motherboard + fan = 210.00
1GB ram = 99.00
Dual Layer DVD -RW = 36.60
250GB EIDE Drive = 88.00
Video card - Geforce 6600 AGP 256 = 118.00
or
Video Card - Radeon X700 PCI Express 256 MB = 110.00
ATX Case/500 watt power supply = 30.00
Audigy 4 Sound card = 59.00
Wired Network card = 12.00
or
Wireless Network card = 30.00.

to go by and he didn't have time to put anything together so i just decided to give it a shot

Case and PSU ( I recommend a new psu but not required) 75$
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811156175

80Gig Hard drive $55
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822135106

Corsair 1Gig RAM 80$
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145440

MSI K8N NEo4-F Motherboard Pci-e 90$
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130491

AMD 3200+ Venice Core CPU 155$
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103535

Creative Soundblaster Live Sound card 35$
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829102176

MSI 6600GT Pci-e Graphics card 150$
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127147

=620$

+Optical Drives? (30$)
+Misc? (20$)

With the opticals and misc, it will exceed your budget by 70$ . You may not want to go this route, but if you do, you wont be disatisfied.
I assume including shipping, it will be about 700$
