Default Will this ram work on this mobo?

Hey all, have 2 512MB sticks of Ram, DDR Dimm's out of an old P4 system, will they work on this motherboard? Out of an Asus p4s8x mobo that seems to be dead.

If I can't use the old ram sticks, can someone please recommend some very economical ram? a 512MG stick or 2 512mb's if fairly inexpensive.

Ah, thank you so much That's one big relief.

I hate to ask about another, but can I assume it will work with this as well since it says DIMM?

http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...D_Athlon_64_X2

In case the link does not work it's a Gigabyte Technology ATX Socket AM2 Motherboard for AMD Athlon 64 X2 mobo

Thanks so much for the help, having a rough day after the PC died.

It says DIMM, but your ram is not compatible with this. Yours is DDR, while this one requires DDR2.
