Default why me???

I was repairing windows xp with the $200 disk i bought and my cd rom drive died and looks like somebody took sand paper to the xp disk...

The disk is fine except for near the outside and the outside circle looks sanded down...

The disk still works but probably not for a long time.

I will send you guys a photo of the disk soon.

oh man. thats pretty harsh

one time i was playing red alert 2 and the cd-drive went berserk... needless to say once i got the thing open, i had about a million pieces of CD to clean up - the thing just completely shattered inside the drive.

see that edge is like sanded down and stuff...

It would've went to pieces cause my cd rom drive went berserk but i shut down as fast as possible holding in the power button.

I'm thinking MS won't give you one due to "it's not they're fault" kind of disclaimer

you can try... what can they say... no... but what you should have done is make a copy of it then put the original in a safe place... I have had mine in the drvie only one, that was to make a copy of it...

Borrow a copy from a neighbor or friend, copy it, and use your key, not theirs.
