Default What's your opinion on PATA to SATA

Right now in my computer I have:
300gig PATA
250gig PATA

And on my shelf I have about 4 or 5 ones of other sizes.
I'm looking at a new computer, and it only has uses SATA HDDs.

What do you reccomend I do?
I know I could buy a converter, but is there another option?
(I don't have much extra money to go out and buy any more new hard drives)

I was thinking about getting this

IDE to Serial ATA Converter from Addonics

Just since I have OSs I don't want to lose, and it's cheaper to buy 2 of them then buy a new HDD and try to sell my old one for a reasonable price.

Here's two options that might work for you.
Newegg.com - SYBA SY-JM-SIDE SATA/IDE Adapter, Connect IDE Devices to SATA Port on Motherboard - Retail
Newegg.com - KINAMAX IDE-SATA Converter Adapter - Retail

The one I posted says:
"The Addonics IDE-Serial ATA converter is the most cost effective solution for converting standard IDE and ATAPI devices to the new Serial ATA interface standard."

Which is what I need. I have IDE devices that would need to be attached to a SATA interface.

The first newegg one would work, but the second one lets you "connect [a] SATA device to [an] IDE host controller" which is the opposite of what I need
