What should i do?

I have built my first computer and something isn't right like i put my windows xp professional in there (this cd is burnt cause i wanted to copy my orginal version in case something happens and well i can't find the orginal) and then i put it in my cd drive and it says something like

unknown bootable disk please insterst a bootable disk and reboot.

and i don't know what to do. can i not use the copy that i have burnt?

You should be able to burn Windows CDs just fine. But, it seems like this one didnt burn right. Try your original.

he said he cant find it.get a copy from someone else and use your cd key that is legal.

i have an illegal bootleg xp pro disk, and it does NOT boot from cd...i have to do it through windows.

Ok i am new with sata drives and i was woundering how it all works i mean do i still ahve to have a main Ide drive hooked up to the computer while running the sata or can i jsut use the sata drive on the computer without haveing a ide HD?

i'm don't have a pirated verison i copied mine but lost the orignal. Not sure where i but it at and looked everywheres for it. But need help with the sata thing.

actually my windows xp disk wasnt an upgrade, it was xp pro sp1
