Hey. I have a P4 2.4 Ghz and 512MB PC2100. My board has a AGP 4x slot. I currently have an ATI 9200. I wanna add another 512MB PC2100 and feel the only thing holding my comp back from getting another 2 or 3 years outta it is my vid card. I have seen similar comps on this board and they have a 9800 and some people are saying that's about the best the computer can take advantage of. Is this the case? I'm not biased to any one manufacturer so that's not an issue.

agreed. 6600GT would be it's equal. Like on my woman's PC. She has a 1.8ghz P4, and I think I'll be putting a 6200 series in there.

I was an ATI fanboy............

But I just bought a XFX 6600GT AGP 8x (500/1000) and it rocks.... MAjor improvement over my old ATI card (Radeon 9600)

You get a little more for your money with a 6600GT compared to a 9800Pro.

And, in case you were wondering, the 6600GT will run with a 4xAGP slot.

FYI, If you find PC3200 cheaper than PC2100 (definite possibility), you can use PC3200 in your system, it will just run at PC2100 speeds.

pc3200 is cheaper than pc2100, its hard to belive, but thats the case.... You would think that the laws of supply and demand would take over..........
