do u think i can play halo, doom 3, unreal tournament 04 BF2 or CoD2 with this set up?

samsung CD/DVD-rw drive (something like 52x)
160 gig IDE HDD
ATI Radeon 9200 128mb 4x/8x AGP
stock cooling and case

Exactly, you'd be fine if you could put a 6600GT or better in there. Even a 9800pro would be a huge improvement than whats in there.

yes thats what i want a new vid card but im too **** broke. but what compny makes that 6600gt? dont know much about cards

Many companies make the 6600gt. Check this one out http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130220. I believe but i could be wrong that the 6800gt is an AGP and would work for your system if you wanted to wait and save up some more money.

like hows this one? its out of my price range at the moment but something to shoot for.
another thing... do u think it would be worth it to upgrade my processor to like an athlon 64 or something (if at all possible)? or maybe an opteron how r those? anyway thanks for ur posts!

Personally for a budget pc I'd get
AMD 3000 Skt. 939
MSI K8N Neo4-F
1 Gig PC400 (3200) Corsair Valueselect
Evga 6600GT

then whatever else, like harddrive, optical drives, etc
REMEMBER: Seriously wait to upgrade to something like this. Or, if you find yourself in a position where you think 'I'm going to buy this because it's cheaper' DON'T. You'll regret it later. Just be patient

yep

you have a pretty good setup but if you just get a better videocard in there you will be much better. The 9200 sucks a$$ man lol. Get a decent one like a 6600 or a 6600gt.
