Exclamation What do I need for my PC?

I would like to get a new desktop computer, but I do not know what I would need in it (what processor, brand, video card, sound card, expandable ports, hard drive, memory, other stuff)

This is what I would like it to do...

Run fast (no lag)
Fast downloads/fast internet (i know this is also based on my connection)
Photo editing
Memory/Hard Drive
I don't play many games
DVD burning (double layer)
Great music sound (I already have a good logitech 5.1 surround system)
Nice Asthetics (nice flat LCD)
TV-tuner and PVR

I don't know too much about computers so I don't think I could build it myself if that is hard. If anyone knows any pre-built systems they could recommend, or any recommendations at all. I know I want to go with an AMD processor I just have no idea which one. I would appreciate all the help I could get!

Go to Wal-Mart and buy one of those $400 E-Machines.

I\'m already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth...

it's actually not all that hard to build a computer. I built the one I'm using now.

AMD Sempron 64 3000+

MSI K8N Neo3-F

PQI 2x512MB PC3200

eVGA 6600 GT

Thermaltake Purepower 480W

CMV CT-712A 17" LCD monitor (black or silver)

any case you like (but don't trust PSU's that come with cases, they are usually bad quality)

for multitasking, especially for photoediting, i recommend a dual-core processor (AMD's X2, which is better, or Pentium D)

at least 1Gig of DDR dual channel RAM

SATA Hard Drives (Seagate or Western Digital brands)

Creative Labs X-FI series sound cards (best sound cards on the market)

CNPS9500 HSF for quietness
Antec Power Supply for quietness (400w or higher)

Toshiba brand DVD-burners

Hauppauge brand TV-Tuners (http://www.hauppauge.com/)

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83Ghz || 4GB OCZ 1066 DDR2 RAM || GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P Motherboard ||
PNY XLR8 GTX 470 || Raptor 300GB 10,000 RPM HDD RAID0 || Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
