Default What can I upgrade to?

Hey I've been doing mild upgrades on my computer, and I was curious as toward what I could upgrade my processor to that would work better for games? My processor is 4 years out-dated.

Currently, this is what my PC has:

Processor: 3800++ Dual Core AMD Athlon
Graphics Card: Radeon HD5450
Power Supply: 550 WATT
4 gigs of rams, 500 GB Harddrive etc.

I don't know too much about computers, but I'm upgrading it slowly just to make it a tad bit better.

So what may I upgrade my processor to for better performance? Do I need to provide anymore information?

What is you motherboard? That will tell us more of what you can upgrade to. What is your PSU manufacturer? Also, what is your budget?

How do I find out what motherboard I have BTW? My budget is around 100, or I could go up a little bit more. I don't know how much things cost :P Technically I guess if I felt like it, I could save up even more. As for PSU, I'll figure that out later today when I get back home.

It should be printed directly on the board. normally around the PCI slots.
