Default weekend projects

Hello there, im looking to make a memory ram card as well as a couple of pci cards. I would like to no where to start. well let me say this exactly where/how would i obtain these componets to go on the boards themselves? Would this be done in a similar way to make a regular pcb board? What step should i take to go about this? Any links, photos, diagrams, article etc, basically the hard parts you could provide would be awsome.

Unless you're a professional engineer and work for a manufacturer, no. Plus it would cost a lot of money to build. Just buy the stuff, man.

This is far more advanced than what you can accomplish with weekend projects. Not only do you need knowledge in computer engineering, you also need to know advanced programming for drivers, software etc.
