I am almost ready to turn on my new computer build and have the new EVGA 7950 GT card installed but was wondering if I should first plug the monitor into the motherboard VGA or the video card (DVI to VGA plug)? I am concerned that I have no video if the card isn't recognized and configured yet, so motherboard makes sense?

Getting nervous to turn it on, first time build.....maybe I should put on my motorcycle helmet and have a fire extinguisher handy!!

**** this is fun.

Plug it in the 7950. Most motherbaords will detect the board at start up and disable the onboard graphics.

Plug in the board and hook up your monitor to the imputs in the back then grab your fire exstingisher and flip the switch lol
